Result of Study
We conducted in-depth analysis to measure the effectiveness of each strategy we put into resume writing by surveying a group of clients over a period of time. A common problem among job seekers is not getting enough responses to their resumes, and we have discovered a process that creates a solution.
Research & Analysis
First and foremost, a thorough amount of research and analysis went into each client's background and current career goals to make a determination on the best possible approach to take. Once the objective was established, having expertise in the targeted industry allowed us to create the perfect strategy.
Strategy Development
We designed a clearly focused strategy for each client that spoke to the reader in terms of what they might be looking for in a candidate, such as highlighting certain industry-specific keyword phrases and accomplishments within the document. This demonstrated the relevance of their backgrounds to potential employers.
Branding & Design
Personally branding each resume was conducted by preparing a creatively designed document that showcased certain key attributes and accomplishments which were unique only to each individual client. Selectively including numbers, such as sales figures and percentages, greatly contributed to this purpose.
Goal Setting
The resumes that were written, as part of the study, articulated exactly what the candidates were trying to accomplish and set a foundation for any future endeavors they may pursue later in their careers. By setting this foundation, our clients have gained unmatched value out of the services we offer.
ATS Job Match Rate
ATS Job Match Rate is the score your resume receives when it is scanned through an applicant tracking system (ATS) and compared to a specific job description. Unlike resume response rate, which is dependent on several different factors, a candidate's job match rate depends only on how relevant their information is to the targeted job description within the recruiting software. After a resume is scanned, it either gets filtered out automatically or scores high enough to move to the next stage of the screening process - human review. To ensure this happens, we utilize the same technology as Fortune 500 companies to scan our clients' resumes after they are written - which has significantly boosted both job match and response rates across the board.

Resume Response Rate
As part of our case study to measure how certain methods of resume writing affect the rate at which employers respond to job candidates, we conducted a survey to ask our clients what they felt impacted their results the most. Although we were confident the feedback would be positive, we really didn't expect such a tremendous amount of insight given the robust competition in the job market. Out of all the clients we surveyed, every single one of them reported obtaining better results after using our resume services. Some reported receiving double or even triple the amount of interview offers than before. This is a huge success, seeing that over 70% of resumes are rejected before they even make it past the initial screening process in applicant tracking systems. Below are the areas of improvement, which our clients felt mainly contributed to the increase in responses they have received.
Better Verbiage
33% say articulate wording and condensed content portrayed a higher level of fluency and made their resumes easier to read.
Industry Targeting
31% say industry-specific keyword optimization helped boost their exposure in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and online job sites.
Correct Formatting
36% say properly formatting and organizing information improved the way their skills were perceived by recruiters and hiring managers.
All Improvements Combined
According to the data, all factors are almost equal in importance and can increase your response rate by 100% or more when combined.
